From the birth of Nüte Bars four years ago in 2021 to Basehall’s Benko by Nüte, Cheman Cheung, the man behind it all brings you his latest creation, Gróa by Nüte.
I first met Chem when he began his earliest venture, the original Nüte smoothie bars. I had previously tried Benko, which offers Japanese inspired boxed meals (bento). From the time in between where I had not seen him until now, I was pleasantly surprised to learn he had something new going on yet again.
In addition to the two sister brands, he has now started his first independent restaurant. All three of these brands are tied together with the concept of wellness. The name is derived from Old Norse meaning “to grow”, aligning with the brand’s mission to cultivate wellness for everyone who visits.
Gróa’s prime appeal is the location. Dining here feels like an urban escape where you come out feeling refreshed and more at ease.
Whether it’s sunny skies or a cozy day with gentle rain, we will definitely be back to try the rest of the food and drink menu!
