Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas Join Cadillac for 2026 Formula 1 Team Debut

Formula 1’s 11th team, Cadillac, will join the grid in 2026 and they’ve officially signed with two familiar faces. The Cadillac team welcomes Perez and Bottas, the six and ten time Grand Prix winners, respectively, as its inaugural driver pairing for the next season.

CEO of Cadillac F1 team and TWG Motorsports, Dan Towris comments, “Bottas and Checo bring the perfect balance of talent, maturity, and drive.”

The experienced duo, will both return after time away from the tracks since losing their seats to Red bull and Sauber, at the end of 2024.

Cadillac will be led by Team Principal, Graeme Lowdon. He brings experience from his prior leadership roles within Virgin/Marussia F1 (currently Manor Racing). With his deep F1 knowledge, Lowdon’s appointment is seen as both a strategic and natural choice to ensure Cadillac has a strong foundation to come. He is realistic about the challenges that lie ahead and states that they expect to be the backmarkers of the initial season.

Cadillac’s strong ambition has afforded both drivers another opportunity into the motorsport elite category. With plenty of fuel left in the tank, embarking on this new chapter will be both exciting and challenging for the two, as they step into a fresh era of world-class racing.

All eyes will be on this newcomer team. Best of luck to all the teams and we’ll see you at the starting line for the 2026 season, beginning at the Australian Grand Prix.
