This summer, the newly completed Kai Tak Sports Park is set to open a children’s playground spanning 4,000-square-meter within the North Garden of the park.
The playground is themed around five elements with inspiration drawn from Chinese philosophy, wood, fire, earth, metal, and water.
The facility design also mimics the salt fields of the Song dynasty that once formed along the Kowloon City waterfront. The playground features distinct geometric shapes of these ancient salt pans, creating rolling hills and vibrantly colored zones throughout play.
The playground includes a variety of activities such as sandpits, climbing walls, zip lines, and two 10-meter tall play towers. Additionally, barrier-free design elements have been implemented to stimulate children’s sensory development. All children can access the area freely but safely.
It’s a perfect family affair, so invite your family and friends for a fun-filled day of bonding and treasured memories. Rediscover the pure joy of playing outdoors, and running free under the open sky.
